Rant Of A Graduating Student IV

It's been almost a week since we had our defense of our Strategic Plan. I'm more than thankful that's over. Here's what transpired that fateful (XD) day of April 4:

After sleepless nights that seemed to continue to days on end, we finally finished our strategic plan of a midwife clinic franchise. I'm just glad we're through.

We arrived at school hours earlier before our the scheduled time of defense. Our professor called for a 12NN meeting. The group leaders then drew lots to determine who will get tried, er, get to present first.

We got the third slot in the defense that day. I don't know whether or not it's bad knowing full well that the first group to present will get through it faster.

At around 5:30 PM, we finally went inside the seminar hall (Room 309), the venue for that day's persecution XD

The panel was composed of a businessman well-versed in the franchising industry (that's how we knew our bones are gonna be picked clean), a Certified Public Accountant, and our professor who has a Master's degree in Industrial Relations.

Our defense didn't go well as we expect it to be, much to my chagrin. This is due to the missing "0" in an entry of our 'projected income statement' and the fact that I placed the word 'weekly' in the 'advertisement in newspapers and radios' section of our 'Promotion" (Marketing Mix).

In my defense, (no pun intended) I was working on the marketing alone, at 2:30 in the morning. I surmised that it was supposed to be 'weekly' because our school does exactly that. The newspaper part. Guess I'm wrong.

Oh, and by the way, that should be "at least once a week".

In the end, we got an overall rating of 79%. 3 points were deducted for the late submission of our paper.

To sugarcoat things, the first group that presented got 73% :D

Oh oui! The time for Schadenfreude!

Rant Of A Graduating College Student III

Hiya folks! Readers would know that I am graduating this May and that I have a subject called Strategic Management. Since January, this is all, me and my group mates are concerned about:

Me is super busy with our Strategic Plan that's why this blog is not updated. Anyway, today is our presentation and defense. I hope we get picked last to present.

I still have a Management Accounting class that conflicts with the schedule of our defense.Meh. I'm just gonna wing it XD

I hope our toil pays off today at our presentation. Oh, and to make things a little harder, we still have a Final Exam in that forsaken subject.

I seriously hope I graduate this May. I need your prayers. Have a great day everyone!

C'est moi,
Rege :D
