Finals Week

It's been a while since I updated this because of me being slumped with tons and tons of work. BTW, April 30 marks the beginning of our walk to Calvary as our Final Exams Week starts.

We'll be having a Final Exam in law Communication1 (The Law on Obligations and Contracts). In World Literature, we will be presenting and defending our book report. Mine is Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. In Human Resources Management, we will also be presenting and defending the HR practices (Mission/Vision, etc.) of a Filipino company. I hope Ms. Heidi accepts Logica Philippines as my paper. In Corporate Leadership, we will have an oral defense/recitation on the advanced Leadership Skills (Delegation, etc.). Tomorrow is also our presentation and defense of our Electronic Commerce project. We've revamped QHotels' website and need to discuss why we've made such changes. Our Business Management Projects 2's implementation of 'The GRAND RAMp' is over and I need not worry about it.

For the next week I'll be sitting in my office chair, working on my computer, studying and I hope and pray that I will get good grades on all of my subjects. BTW, in LAWCOM1, my one foot is in the grave. Please pray for me. Thanks.

Home. Alone. Again.

The other day, I and my father had a little 'misunderstanding' and as a result, he left the house. Yes. That's not a typo. Times have changed people! When children and parents cross, the parents do the leaving XD I dunno but when my grandmother (Mama's mother) had a tiff with her sons and daughters, she left our house in the province!

Ironic as it sounds, that's the truth. Well, in my case. Daddy left his cellphones at the house so I have no way of knowing in which part of the Earth he is now. He left me around $20 and I believe that's for the next two weeks. I checked Makati Medical Center if he's there because he wanted me to accompany him there for a check-up last Saturday. I told him that we will leave for MMC at 6PM yesterday and he refused, and put on a dramatic act. Yeah. I'd define that as a tiff.

I suppose he's in one of my aunt's house and will come back after a week or so. I brought groceries this evening because it'd be costly to buy viands in 'carinderias' every meal. I'll be cooking, cleaning, maintaining and staying inside the house alone.

Yet another test of independence has come my way. So help me LORD.

:)

Term 1 AY 2010-2011

This afternoon, I pre-registered for the next academic year. I was supposed to be on internship next term but I still have subjects that I need to take. I only have 2 subjects next term.

Fundamentals of Accounting 2 for Business Administration and Graphical User Interface programming using VB6.

No Quantitative Methods 2 offering for next term and I wasn't allowed to take Philosophy of Man class of other courses.

Please pray for me as I plan to work part-time or full time depending on what the circumstances require me to. Next term is the most challenging for me because I need to juggle not only school but work and my other activities as well. Clearly, my hands will be really full by the month of May.

Have a great day everyone!

LEVEL UP SYC 2010 Post #4

It is our last day here at the Mt. Peniel Campsite / Prayer Mountain and we still have a Large Group Session at 9AM. I know there's not much time for me to create my legendarily long posts because of time constraints butI'll try my best to make this post well-worth reading. And my whining begins:

We arrived here last Monday, that's the 5th of April. I am one of the volunteers of Camp Kabataan and was part of the so-called "Advance Team". After dropping our luggages, we started working and working. I would like to commend, in part of the LEVEL UP Summer Youth Camp 2010 Director, Pastor Jeff Aspacio, the volunteers of this year's Youth Camp.

The kitchen crew for working all day, all night in preparing scrumptious meals for us. It's no joke to prepare food for 700 or so people. The Registration committee who stretched their patience, worked hard and making sure that all of our records our maintained, for preparing the IDs, coordinating with the bus companies and assigning us in our respective dormitories. The Drama team, for preparing the beautiful presentations, especially the wonderful hand mimes. The Multi-Media committee for preparing the audio-visual presentations and documenting the whole event. The Music team for making wonderful music here at camp. The Counselors committee for equipping us with the necessary tools and skills in counselling young people. The Game committee for putting all the hard work in preparing the obstacle course, and all the games we played here at camp.

And to all the volunteers of Camp Kabataan, KUDOS to you all and may we all have glorified God in this activity.

LEVEL UP SYC 2010 Post #3

I'm gonna make this post short because we still have lots of things to do here at camp. The opening night was a great success. There were some technical difficulties but praise God that those were overcome immediately. I would love to post pictures but you're gonna have to wait XD Anyway, the game stations will be in operation today and good luck to the campers!

Have a great day everyone!
